I decorated my first cake at the age of 8: You see I burned my mom's birthday cake and had to find a way to make it look pretty!
I then grew up, stopped burning cakes, graduated in fashion design in Paris, France and started a carreer in advertisement. First as an artistic director and a few years later switching to graphic designer.
My second carreer started when my first daughter was born: Mother. I am now the proud mom of 3 adorable monsters. And what do kids love beyond all on their birthday? A great cake!
That's when I started decorating cakes again, simply because I couldn't find that special outstanding cake I wanted for my children, or else at crazy prices.
I have now been baking and decorating cakes for 17 years, family, friends, they all got theirs and encouraged me to start baking for others.
So that's how Cake Couture and my 3rd carreer was born, and I have to admit I'm enjoying every minute of it!
No matter what the medium is I always LOVED creating, but with cakes and pastries it's a double gratification: Seeing my client happy when they first see their cake and then getting their enthusiastic feebacks once they've tasted the cake!
I will end up this little "resume" by reminding what is the most important to me: Not only should my cakes look good, but they also have to taste good!
All my cakes are baked to order with quality ingredients and lots of love. No frozen ingredients and no plastic with us, everything you will see on our cakes is edible and hand made.
